Let’s Take a Look at This Year’s Trends
Halloween this year will look very different for those of us who love a quality scare fest each year. Fortunately, the pandemic has not dampened the season’s spirit. Houses are decorated with spiderwebs and skeletons, the pumpkins are carved with candles shining through their crooked smiles, and the Halloween costume stores have opened their doors. Halloween offers anyone the opportunity to become someone else, even for one night.
It can take weeks to plan and assemble the perfect costume, especially if you’re unsure if you should wear something gory, sexy, pithy, silly, standard or trendy. If it’s a trendy costume you’re hoping to wear, then you’re in luck, for this year has had a plethora of unusual trends. Given the nature of our lifestyles over the last six months, there hasn’t been much to do except follow online fads. By scouring Instagram, Tik Tok and a few other websites, I can see people taking advantage of the times to have some added fun in spite of quarantine. This Halloween, we’ll be joining Michael Myers, Jason and Darth Vader in wearing masks, so that we can have a COVID-friendly spook-fest.
